A. The League shall consist of 29 sides divided into 3 sections. Section Premier has 10 sides, Section A 11 sides and Section B 8 sides.
B. For 2016 season clubs competing in each section to be as listed.
C. The last two clubs in Sections Premier A and B shall be relegated and the top two clubs in Sections A and B shall be promoted.
D. In the event of any club or clubs being admitted, leaving or being expelled from the league, at least one club will be relegated from Sections Premier and A with appropriate promotions from Sections A and B.
E. Any club wishing to withdraw from the League to enter another league must give notice “in writing” before 30 April in the year previous to the season in which they intend to play in that league. Any club giving such notice may at any time withdraw their resignation before the next A.G.M., thus retaining that clubs full membership of the league. The club will therefore have no need to reapply for membership and their teams will retain their position in their respective sections.
F. Huddersfield Central Cricket League shall in these rules be referred to as the HCCL or "The League".
G. All clubs must take out public liability insurance with a minimum limit of indemnity of £5 million. Evidence that cover has been taken out to be provided to the member of the league management board dealing with public liability insurance. Failure to provide evidence by the 31st March will result in a £25.00 fine and the club will be suspended until such evidence is produced.
H. Membership of the league shall be open to all irrespective of age, gender, disability, race, ethnic origin, creed, colour, social status and sexual orientation.
I. No club will be permitted to have ‘A’ & ‘B’ teams in the same section of the league, except in the bottom section.
J. The league and all clubs will adopt the ECB Welfare of Young People Policy.
K. A junior is defined as a player that is under 17 years of age on the 31 August in the preceding year.
